Meet FDFC Youth Centre of Excellence Coach Tony O'Donnell

Fulham DFC's youth side is now in its 3rd season. The Fulham DFC Youth Centre of Excellence Squad train every Sunday at Fulham FC, Motspur Park under the expert coaching of Tony O'Donnell, who has just been recruited and to date has taken the squad up to another level, both in standard and through enjoyment.

Tony O'Donnell has represented both Great Britain and England Deaf as a striker and winger. Tony has turned out for many clubs listing from Hendon Youth, Shaftsbury Harris Athletic Club, Brob Barnet FC, Fairfield FC, Surbiton DFC, Clapham DFC and Greenlane DFC (St John Arsenal DFC), winning hundreds of trophies along the way! Tony now holds FA Level Two Qualification, and has ambitions to take another step up.

fulhamdfc.com caught up with Tony to find out more about his coaching ambitions, Tony's response was “I always felt I would love to coach which i did about 5 years ago if opportunity ever arose and its very exciting challenge. I have been watching pro and semi football training all over places for years and also coaching week in and out which give me a good experience . At the moment I am coaching at Mary hare School for the deaf . my aims is to gain UEFA licence early next year.”

I believe there is certainly the deaf talent out there, bring in best youngsters encourage them and make sure get them opportunity.
