GLWFL Division Two South League

London Phoenix Ladies FC v Fulham Deaf Ladies FC

The game kicked off
with only 10 Fulham players, the sun was breaking through the clouds, such a
relief it was not raining.

10 minutes into the game Phoenix were playing
some real football with the low balls, Phoenix got a foul and took a free kick
a headed ball into the net London Phoenix 1 – Fulham Deaf Ladies 0.

Fulham then composed
themselves, We kicked off, finding space within the phoenix lock down, Botonaki
dribbled the ball past the defender but somehow it was a deflected shoot off
London Phoenix and the ball rattled the back of the net making it, Fulham Deaf
Ladies 1 – London Phoenix 1.

20 minutes left on the
game Fulham played a tight defensive tactic, London Phoenix crossed the ball, Kenward tried to header the ball to clear it off the pitch, suddenly London
Phoenix are cheering and we realised Kenward had scored her first own goal.   2-1

Fulham tried hard to add pressure to London
Phoenix, until they found an exposed area and scored 2 more goals, London
Phoenix 4 – Fulham Deaf Ladies 1.

2nd half London
Phoenix kicked off, Fulham tried hard to keep the score sheet as low as
possible, but Fulham suffered an injury and Davies came off which left us with 9
players, We made changes  Castro swapped with Ryan in Goal.

Ryan made 4 brilliant saves 20 minutes to final
whistle a lot misses coming from the phoenix attackers until Castro got injured
came off, which left us with 8 players fighting with all their hearts, we gave
away another goal and the match ended London Phoenix 5 – Fulham Deaf Ladies 1.

I must say I am very
impressed with Fulham Deaf Ladies, and the performance they displayed. You
girls have so much passion, keep it up!

Final score London Phoenix 5 – 1 Fulham Deaf (HT 4 – 1)
