Our honorary president and former Fulham DFC Guv is the ICSD Football Technical Director has had a very busy month. He was responsible for organising and making sure the World Deaf Football Championships in Ankara – Turkey went without a hitch!

The Men’s world champions were Turkey, who had St John DFC’s Huseyin Er in playing a big part. Turkey defeated Egypt 1-0 to win. Amazingly Egypt reached the final eating and drinking nothing all day throughout the competition because of Ramadan!

USA Deaf Women were crowned women’s champions, making it three major tournaments in a row: 2005 Deaflympics, 2009 Deaflympics and 2012 World Deaf Football Champions!
