FA Level 1 Coaching Course for deaf coachs

The Surrey County FA is pleased to announce the first ever FA Level 1 coaching course for deaf coaches to be held in Surrey. The course will take place on Monday 7th June 2010 and finish on Friday 11th June 2010; each day will run from 9.30am-4.00pm and will provide deaf coaches the opportunity to gain the FA Level 1 coaching certificate which is the first step on the coaching pathway.

 

The course will take place at Fulham F.C Training Ground in New Malden Surrey KT3 6PT.

 

Practical 1 – Monday 7th June 9.30am-4pm

Safeguarding and First Aid – Tuesday 8th June 9.30am-4pm

 

Practical 2 – Wednesday 9th June 9.30am-4pm

Practical 3 – Thursday 10th June 9.30am-4pm

 

Final Assessments – Friday 11th June 9.30am-4pm.

Course Information:

Minimum Age: 16

Course Duration: Maximum 30 hours

Course Prerequisites: None

Course aims and objectives: This course will provide an introduction to the organisation and delivery of safe and enjoyable coaching sessions for young players. It is ideally suited to those working with groups of young players and/or teams.

The course will include practical and theory and will be concluded on the final day with assessments.

Fully qualified interpreters are being provided by the Surrey County FA to give the candidates the very best support. The course will also be delivered by the current GB deaf football head coach Chris McGinn.
