Clash of the Champions

The Ford Sports Stadium does not know what it has let itself in for!
The Romford FC Stadium plays host to the Clash of the Champions, with
St John yet again defending their title against two time winners Fulham
DFC in the British Deaf Cup Quarter Finals on Wednesday 30th January.

Since Fulham DFC
formed in 2003, the British Deaf Cup has been shared by both London clubs,
with Fulham winning in its first year (2004) then St John DFC, formed
in 1913 winning in 2005, followed by Fulham again in 2006 and lastly St
John took the honours in 2007.

Directions

By car:

(avoiding
Town Centre) – Take the A12 to the junction with Whalebone Lane North
(Moby Dick Pub), then turn south onto A1112 (Whalebone Road North –
towards Dagenham). At Becontree Heath, follow signs towards Romford by
turning left onto The Broadway, then take first exit at roundabout
(A124 towards Romford – Wood Lane, becoming Rush Green Road). The Ford
Sports Stadium is approx. half a mile along the A124, on the left.

By rail:

Nearest
National rail station is Romford (Travelcard Zone 6 – Great Eastern
line, served by trains from Liverpool Street). Leave the station and
turn right, crossing the road to the bus stop outside the Goose pub.
From this stop, buses 87 (towards Barking), 103 (towards Rainham) and
175 (towards Dagenham) pass the Ford Sports Ground. You could also try
Chadwell Heath BR, the stop before Romford.

By Underground:

Nearest Underground stations are Dagenham East or Dagenham Heathway (District Line – Travelcard Zone 5).

From Dagenham East, take bus 103 from outside the station direct to Ford Sports Ground.

From Dagenham Heathway, turn left outside station and take bus 175 direct to Ford Sports Ground.
