Bungee Jump Fundraising for the Sarah Ann Davies Memorial Fund

With the recent event that was centred around Fulham DFC’s Sarah Davies, and to raise funds for the Great Britain Ladies’, and Sarah’s sister Victoria was to raise funds by doing a bungee jump for the Sarah Ann Davies Memorial Fund. Victoria wrote to Fulham DFC telling us about her fundraising event.

Dear All,

Just an email to say THANK YOU to everyone who came and/or sponsored me for your support throughout that day. It was such a comfort to the family to see so many people attend throughout the day and how much everyone cared for Sarah- her spirit is always around and never forgotten!

Please visit www.britishdeaffootball.com for more info and pics, or go to www.facebook.com, search for group ‘I Watched Vic Bungee Jump 15/09/07’, or try http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4862094449.

So far around £1,600 has been raised!! But there is still a lot of promised sponsorship money owed, so if you could try and get that to me as soon as you can, that would be great!!

Contact me if you wish to arrange this, or just post a cheque written to ‘Sarah Ann Davies Memorial Fund’, to 11 Greenwich Court, 1 Hyde Close, Romford, RM1 4WE.

The Sarah Ann Davies Memorial Fund is of course something that is very personal to me, but the aim of the fund is to support Deaf Football, which is the important thing to remember. When Sarah was elected for the GB Squad in the Melbourne Deaflympics, the whole team had to raise a lot of the funding themselves. Thankfully they all managed to because they went on to win the bronze!!

There is so much talent out there and it is wrong that it isn’t recognised properly and given proper funding. So the S.A.D. Memorial Fund is there to help give them that much needed financial support.

Apologies for the delay with my thanks- I have been so busy lately and for some reason until now havent found the chance to just sit and write my thanks!! I must also admit that I only have a handful of email contacts, so please pass this in to whoever you know was there that isn’t in the list.

A HUGE THANKS again, I am more grateful than words can say.

Kindest Regards

Victoria

So those who have pledged, please do help the Memorial Fund by sending in your pledges soon as possible!
